Yes, using a small client application running on the Windows workstations being recorded, the currently logged on Windows username and system name will be added to all recordings made by that workstation and even to recordings made using the associated telephone extension.

Yes, it may be undesirable to constantly record workstations so Symphony can be configured to trigger recording of a workstation screen when the associated telephone extension makes a call. In this way the call and screen recording can be tied together and replayed alongside each other.

Symphony Screen Recording is available in active and passive options. The active version is not limited in terms of the resolutions it can support. The passive version supports resolutions up to 2560x1600.

In some situations it may not be desirable to install software on the workstation to be recorded. This is commonly the case in air traffic control environments for example. In these instances the passive screen recording option can be used. This works by recording the video signal between the workstation and the screen using a special hardware device. VGA, HDMI and DVI are supported.

In active mode software is installed on the workstation. This software monitors changes to the display and send image data to the server. This is a more cost effective option.
